Bipasha Basu was born on  7 January 1979.Bipasha Basu born in new Delhi to a Bengali Hindu Family. She is the second of three daughters to her parents. She lived in Delhi till the age of eight .her family moved to Kolkata. She was enrolled in the Science faculty until 12th standard. but switched to Commerce thereafter. Bipasha started her film career in 2001 film Ajnabee. In 2002 bipasha started in the year’s most successful thriller Raaz. 

It turned out that Raaz landed up as a huge commercial hit and was the leading hit story for that year. Bipasha received her 1^st ever best actress nomination (filmfare award) for her feat in the motion picture. In the year 2003.In the year 2006, Bipasha enticed millions with her killer dance moves in an item number called “Beedi” for the movie Omkara. In the year 2008, Bipasha was seen in the film Race which was her 2nd partnership in the company of Abbas-Mustan.
